  Awesome spot. I'm third generation and grew up with authentic Italian cooking. Its difficult to find the right stuff that Grandma uses but D&D always has it! Plus delicious meats and cheeses, a lot from Italy. Guido Special is my go to sub.

  Hey, I'm old school from 69th and also Armour Square, Bridgeport areas growing up. Don't expect a Marrianos, this is quaint and to the point with a likea youra a family place, Guido and I'm not sure if it was wife, sister or helper at meat counter, and then checkout look like daughter and momma, makes you feel like your from the old neighborhood. Sausage is as close to Sarlis from 69th street I found. If you want fennel call ahead of time no minimum. The salamis, capecolla, cheeses and breads along with dried meats are great with a good selection. Plenty of imported stuff from Italy especially pastas and canned Marzanos tomatoes. Hey I make my own Neopolitan pizzas and they got this jar of Sacla tomato roasted garlic I put on the pizza, it was so good I was going to cry. Anyway plan on spending time feeling like one of the family.
